Lawrence and Christina Flowers, bought North Cottage,
Upper Sheriff Farmhouse in August 2004. The farmhouse
dates back to 1550 and is a timber framed building set in
a lovely quiet rural location. In 1872 it was divided into
two cottages forming North
and South Cottage. What really
appealed to Lawrence and Christina was the old Cider House
in their garden.
Putting North Cottage
improvements on the back burner until now, they began
renovating The Cider House immediately and have lovingly
restored and designed it to provide a beautiful, luxurious
self contained guest suite
on two floors, a
combination of high tech and traditional comfort within an
ancient building. Upstairs is the stunning vaulted double
bedroom with a pretty en suite loo and basin. Downstairs
is the fabulous bathroom and delightful sitting and dining
room, which also has a sofa bed.
The Cider House is
four miles North of Haywards Heath, between Lindfield and
Ardingly, situated off a quiet, secluded rural lane.
It is
under two miles from Ardingly Showground, It is an easy
quick twelve mile drive from Gatwick, eighteen miles from
Brighton and thirty nine miles from Central London.
West Hoathly, which
is three miles up the lane, has two lovely pubs serving
delicious food. Ardingly also has 3
other pubs serving
food.
